Hamish David McAndrew is eight years old, lives in the village of Hillside with Gran, and has a remarkable knack for finding things — especially the sort of things grown-ups forget to notice.
He loves cheese, spring, forest green, and the fields and woods around Hillside. He is terrible at whistling, worries when he cannot make his friends smile, and somehow always ends up with a muddy jumper.
